Restaurateur Ozzie Mahmmued is a one man success story. Five years ago he was running a takeaway in Portsmouth. Now in 2010 his award winning Basmati Restaurants are to be found in Petworth, West Sussex and Locksheath, Hampshire.

Mahummued’s year-on-year success success should not come as a surprise. His grandfather pioneered the popularity of Indian restaurants in the South of England.
His father was a head chef of renown, and his uncles worked as head chefs and restaurant managers.
With all aspect of the restaurant business in his blood, Ozzie Mahmmued has continued that proud family tradition by continuing to serve the best of dishes from the Indian subcontinent here in the South.

Having opened his first restaurant in Petworth, he extended his Basmati Restaurant chain to Locksheath.
In his two restaurants, Mahmmued mainly serves food from India and also tantalises the taste-buds with delicacies from Bangladesh and Pakistan.
