Some cross-town collaboration between the Dolphin Shopping Centre and the Lighthouse - Poole’s Centre of the Arts – has seen an empty shop window being put to good “cultural” use.
Instead of being confronted by a plain shop window and nothing else, shoppers passing the former New Image hairstylists on Kingland Crescent are seeing a 228cms X 362cms ‘vinyl’ advert promoting the Lighthouse’s forthcoming Family Season of shows.

Marina Tucker (Lighthouse) and Stephanie Lacey (Dolphin Centre) with the eye catching advert
This unique form of marketing has delighted both the Dolphin and the Lighthouse.
“We are very pleased and proud to be supporting Lighthouse,” said Dolphin Shopping Centre manager Stephanie Lacey. “It’s a fantastic arts charity that provides a great venue and offers a real hub of cultural activity for the community of Poole and the South West.”
This novel form of marketing, the first time it has ever been done in the Dolphin, is the brainchild of the Lighthouse’s marketing officer Marina Tucker.
And not only does the advert catch the eye of passing shoppers, they provide an intriguing visual for those taking refreshments in the nearby Costa Coffee Shop.
