Condor Ferries has enlisted the help of a mum and her three young children to make them more family friendly.
Michelle Leicester, from Poole in Dorset and her three children have designed a new activity book for younger passengers.

The book, which is full of games, puzzles and colouring competitions, is provided free to all children travelling on the ferries sailing out of Poole, Weymouth and Portsmouth to France and the Channel Islands.
Michelle, who works for Condor Ferries as their retail buyer, came up with the idea while travelling on board with her children to St Malo for their summer holiday.
“I’ve got three children under 10; Aidan is seven and Abigail and Alex are five. During the journey we came up with the idea of an activity pack to keep youngsters occupied and I asked their advice about what we should include in the book,” said Michelle.
“In the end we decided to give it a pirate theme and include spot the difference, Sudoku, a quick crossword, colouring in, mazes, a word search and dot-to-dots.
“In the middle there is also space to draw a picture of something you will be enjoying on your holiday with a goodie bag full of toys and games for the winner,” she said.
As well as the activity book, Condor Ferries have also launched a new marine-themed kid’s lunch box with a free gift inside and improved the children’s TV lounge on board their fast ferries with the addition of a 42 inch plasma TV showing a selection of children’s films.
Condor has also improved the range of children’s toys and activities on sale in the on-board duty free shop.
Justin Amey Condor Ferries Marketing Manager, said: “We are always looking at ways to improve the travelling experience for passengers.
“Keeping youngsters occupied and entertained en route to your destination is always challenging.
We think the combination of activity books, kids lunch-boxes and the new, improved children’s TV lounge with the giant plasma television will go a long way to ensuring they – and their parents – have an even better travelling experience with us,” he added.
