Like a modern day hopeful dreaming of success and an appearance on X Factor, Cinderella lived her life of housework and domestic abuse, all the while dreaming of dancing her way out of poverty with a new love, Prince Charming.
Whilst last year’s stars have made the trek down the coast to appear in Bournemouth’s Panto the Lighthouse has produced a show that will take a lot to beat.

Doesn't she scrub up well! - Cinderella, complete with Shetland Ponies!
I’m your traditional grumpy old man, Christmas Grinch but even on my second viewing in the space of three days I was hooked!
The production, produced in-house for the second year running, ticks all of the boxes for an entertaining family evening. Great songs, corny jokes, Shetland Ponies! and a love story.
Allo Allo’s Guy Siner plays Baron Hardup and the King, Ed Petrie from CBBC as Buttons and Last of the Summer Wine’s Sarah Thomas as the Fairy Godmother complemented by a talented, if unknown, cast.
The highlight of the show though has to be the Ugly Sisters, Polly (Eugenie) and Gertie (Beatrice), two of the greatest roles in all of Panto, delivered with venom, evil, comedy, some amazing dresses and killer heels by Bobbie Kent and Anthony West.
The musical numbers are performed with style and energy, and come from as diverse a range of sources as “Enchanted”, “Hairspray” and Beyonce.
If you’re looking for a great family night out then you’d be hard pressed to better Cinderella at Lighthouse, Poole.
