AFC Bournemouth is delighted to announce that the club will be holding a Help the Hospices Family Day on Saturday 25th February as the Cherries host MK Dons at the Seward Stadium.

In the wake of the success of the Family Football Festival held in October, the club is looking to reward families who get behind the Cherries by offering a ticket for two children and two adults for just £25.

A donation of £5 from every family ticket will be made to the hospices.

The day kicks-off at 12 noon, and there will be a number of fun activities and competitions going on around the stadium, including face painting, keepy up challenges and hair braiding.

The Cherries have been working with three local hospices this season as part of the Football League’s Help the Hospices campaign, and have been working hard to raise money for Forest Holme, Lewis-Manning and Julia’s House.

Cherries chairman Eddie Mitchell said, “We are really pleased to be able to put on this day for our supporters and the hospices.

“The club has been working closely with the hospices over the course of the season, and it has been a privilege to be associated with them and I hope we have helped to highlight the good work that they do.

“It’s also crucial that we make it possible for young supporters and families to come to games, which we are committed to doing and this initiative proves that.

“We put on a Family Football Festival earlier in the season and it was a huge success, and I have no doubt the next will be the same.”

The club are fully aware of their responsibility to the community and run projects designed specifically for local children including Beales Saturday Soccer Club. The number of Junior Cherries fans also has swelled this season to over one thousand.

Manager Lee Bradbury added, “I always get behind the schemes that the club run to encourage families to come to our games, and enjoy seeing so many young faces around the ground.

“We are in for some exciting times and working hard to make everyone in the town proud of the club, and hopefully it will be a day to remember for the fans that come along.”

Tickets can be bought in person from the club store, by telephone on 0844 576 1910 or online at afcb.co.uk
