Poole’s Lewis-Manning Hospice, a charity which provides free care and support to local people with cancer and life threatening illnesses received almost £1000 in donations from attendees at the Bournemouth Property Association’s lunch on March 30.
Sara Sheppard, Community Fundraiser at Lewis-Manning Hospice said: “It was great to meet local people in the local property and construction sector to raise awareness about our charity and we were overwhelmed by their generous donations.”
Lewis-Manning Hospice provides care to local people with cancer and life-threatening illnesses free of charge. They are currently aiming to raise £2.8 million to build a brand new state of the art hospice in Lilliput to expand their existing day hospice services and breathlessness and lymphoedema clinics and add a new 23 bedded palliative care unit.
