Osmington Holiday Park in Weymouth, Dorset, part of the family-owned Waterside Holiday Group, held a grand opening event this month (14 – 15 July) to launch its new ‘Smuggler’s View’ development; a collection of eight luxury lodges, that are available to purchase as a holiday home.

Over 100 guests attended the event and were the first to view the show lodge; a high specification two-bedroom open plan 40’ x 20’ bespoke lodge designed by Dorset based manufacturer, Wessex Park and Leisure Homes. There are another seven plots available in a range of sizes that can accommodate the largest lodges available in the market place.
Over the weekend-long event, two of the eight pitches were sold and one was reserved. Four plots, plus the show lodge, are now available for purchase. A number of attendees also took the opportunity to enjoy lunch in the Country Club and use the outdoor heated swimming pool, the lounge area and the games room.

The lodges are also integrated with the latest innovative technology and an iPhone App that controls some of the core feature of the lodge, such as central heating, ready for the arrival.
Osmington Holiday Park is set within a wooded valley which drops down to the beach, just 200 metres from a shingle beach and rockpools and minutes away from the lively seaside town of Weymouth. The name of the lodge development derives from the site’s history of smuggling, dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries.
