Plans to take away street parking from a busy Bournemouth road have angered residents and business owners alike.
Bournemouth Council is considering a proposal to remove the 30-minute parking bays in Seabourne Road at Southbourne to improve traffic management.
But traders have collected more than 600 signatures on seven petitions opposing the move, saying the current restrictions which apply from 9.30am to 6pm attract passing business.
The petitions have been submitted to Bournemouth Council with nine letters and objections lodged by two councillors. The council has deferred its decision for further discussion to take place with war councillors.
