Inspired by the efforts of Team GB at the Olympic Games, staff from Barclays House in Poole will be getting on their bikes for charity.
As part of the on-going commitment to supporting local communities, a team of dedicated cyclists will be donning their helmets and shorts for a sponsored cycle-a-thon in aid of Julia’s House.
They will set off from Barclays House in Poole at 9.30am on Wednesday, 5 September and will be touring the local Barclays and Julia’s House branches to raise money for the charity. All sponsorship received will be matched pound for pound by Barclays.
Event organiser Gemma Retter said “This is a great opportunity for our staff to raise money for a charity that is close to the hearts of the Dorset community and to make the most of our late summer weather.”
The event will cover approximately 70 miles and the convoy will arrive bank at Barclays House around 4pm.
