Five Ways to Celebrate Success in Poole

Innovation, quality and commitment to Poole’s Tourism industry will be celebrated as the prestigious Sibbett Gregory Tourism Awards return in 2012.

The Sibbett Gregory Tourism Awards taking place at the FJB Harbour Heights on the 4 October 2012 will showcase the achievements of Poole’s tourism industry over the past two years and reveal who has been chosen as this year’s winners.

Organised by Poole Tourism and sponsored by local commercial property agents and surveyors Sibbett Gregory, the awards are now in their ninth year. The Awards celebrate the best of Poole’s tourism businesses and the talented individuals behind them.

The awards recognise those who excel in their particular tourism field and acknowledge the quality, diversity and achievements of an industry that contributes nearly £200million to the local economy.

This year a new award, “Supporting Poole Tourism”, has been included in recognition of business partners outside of Poole, whose excellence and innovation contributes to Poole Tourism’s success.

Jonathan Sibbett, Director, Sibbett Gregory, said: “We are proud to have had such a long association with these awards which showcase the high standard of Poole’s Tourism Industry and reflect the quality of local businesses and individuals who strive to enhance Poole’s reputation and tourism product. We are especially delighted to be able to acknowledge the importance of smaller businesses and individuals who contribute in many unique ways with the Sponsors Special Award”.

Bruce Grant-Braham, Chairman of the Poole Partnership, said: “The Tourism Awards are a great opportunity to celebrate the best of the industry. During these difficult economic times it is uplifting to see continuing investment and ideas showing the confidence businesses place in the product we have.”
