Julia’s House siblings found themselves swathed in blue plastic on a behind the scenes VIP tour of Honeybuns bakery.

Julia’s House siblings
Plastic hats, pinnies and shoe covers were the order of the day, along with liberal dousings of anti-bacterial hand gel!
The youngsters- all brothers and sisters of children being cared for by the Dorset Children’s Hospice – watched a mouthwatering selection of cakes being made and packaged at Honeybuns HQ in Holwell near Sherborne.
Afterwards, they toured the nature reserve that surrounds the bakery, and learnt how to make bug traps.
This was followed by a picnic lunch in the Honeybun Bee Shack with a chance to finally taste some of those delicious cakes.
The siblings then got to do a little baking for themselves at a cookie making session, with much sampling and some of the resulting goodies to take home – not that there was much left by then!
Thanks to Honeybuns for hosting and Dumpton School in Wimborne for providing the minibus transport. If you would like to support a trip for Julia’s House siblings or help the charity please contact Faith Bayley on 01202 644220.
