Just confirmed! Britain’s Got Talent 2010 winners, Spelbound, alongside vocal duo ‘Foxx’ and singer Zoe Handscomb will give special performances on the evening followed by DJs JK, Lucy from Heart Solent and a spectacular firework finale sponsored by the Oceanarium. With just seven days left to purchase tickets for the inaugural fundraising event for the Jon Egging Trust – The Red Ball, supporters are encouraged to book now to avoid disappointment.
The event will take place on Friday 31 August 2012 at the Bournemouth International Centre.
Local companies and supporters have already secured their places and are looking forward to a fantastic evening with special guests from the Royal Air Force display teams, including the Red Arrows.
The Red Ball will be hosted by TV presenter Carol Vorderman and will showcase an evening of top class entertainment, champagne reception and a delicious three course dinner prepared and served by BH Live Hospitality.
Red Ball highlights will also include an auction offering once in a lifetime experiences and items, including the extremely rare opportunity to fly in a former Red Arrows Gnat aircraft, flown until 1978 by Red One. There will also be ‘behind the scenes experience days’ with the current Royal Air Force Red Arrows Team along with other Red Arrows paraphernalia.
James Godley, Trustee for the Jon Egging Trust and Red Ball organiser said; “Ticket sales and support for this inaugural event has been overwhelming and we are set to have an absolutely fantastic evening! All proceeds from The Red Ball will go towards the Jon Egging Trust; a charity set up in memory of Red Arrows pilot Jon Egging to provide young people with new opportunities to help them achieve their potential.”
The Red Ball will coincide with the Bournemouth Air Festival 2012, a four day aviation extravaganza and festival which attracts up to one million visitors each year.
The Jon Egging Trust will be present at the Bournemouth Air Festival 2012, located in the Royal Air Force village alongside the Red Arrows Tent.
