Match days will be about more than cheering on Paul Groves’ side this season for the club’s young supporters after the Cherries announced the introduction of its new Junior Fanzone.

A group of young supporters meet mascot Cherry Bear at the Goldsands Stadium.
The Junior Fanzone can be found in the newly renovated concourse under the Family Stand and will be open before every Saturday home game.
Youngsters up to the age of 16 will be able enjoy a variety of pre-match entertainment including street dancing and balloon artists, as well as games, activities and competitions.
Members of the first team and lovable mascot Cherry Bear will also make regular appearances in the build-up to kick-off.
The Junior Fanzone opens at 12.30pm on Saturday 25th August as the Cherries host Preston at the Goldsands Stadium, and staff behind the scenes at the club hope it will become a regular fixture for years to come.
General manager Liz Finney said, “We have improved the match day experience for our young supporters each season and the Junior Fanzone is another step forward.
“Having once again received Family Excellence status from the Football League, we are determined to build on this to improve our family offering.
“The Junior Fanzone is the perfect place for parents to bring their kids before a match day and kick-off the weekend.”
