Mrs Joan Miller had only been doing the lottery for three weeks when she scooped the bumper cash prize – and promptly donated a share of her winnings back to the Dorset Children’s Hospice.

Commenting on this latest win, Lottery co-ordinator Emma Tipple said:”It’s not a bad return for a £3 investment!

“Our lottery costs just £1 a week to join and offers excellent odds – a one in 63 chance of winning £5, £25, £1,000 or £25,000 – and, 50p from every pound comes directly to us. It an easy but very effective way in which people can help raise money for our families.”

The Julia’s House lottery currently has 1,182 players and there have been 409 winners. Its target is to reach 10,000 players.

Join the lottery online at www.juliashouse.org . The charity is also looking to employ an extra lottery canvasser. For further details please visit the Julia’s House website or phone 01202 644220.
