The Bournemouth 7s Festival is delighted to announce its support for the annual Castlepoint FUn Run which takes place on Sunday October 14th at the Littledown Centre ( Start Time 10.am)
The run was first set up by 2 time Olympic marathoner Liz Yelling 4 years ago to inspire children and there families to get active and participate. All the children’s events are FREE to enter. The focus is on getting involved, having fun, completion and racing! Every participant receives a finishers medal and there are tropes for top teams (of 3) in each race for boys and girls.
Liz says” the Castlepoint Fun Run is an opportunity for the whole family to have fun and get fit at the same time. Now in it’s 4th year the children’s races are proving a real hit with youngster from all over Poole and Bournemouth. The adults run is perfect for first timers and the under 8′s 0.5 miles means that the whole family can join in. Everyone gets a finishers medal and the whole focus for the event is being active together. You certainly don’t have to be fit or fast to come and have a go.”
The Bournemouth 7s Team will be on hand with some exciting games and giveaways throughout the morning. Come along and visit their stand for your chance to win tickets to the festival and try your hand at our exciting rugby challenges.
There are 0.5/1 mile races for all age groups from under 8′s to under 16′s and an adults 5k event.
