Passion Fruit Curd from The Bay Tree Food Company, based in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, has been awarded a coveted Golden Fork Award for Best Speciality from the South West at the annual Great Taste 2012 Awards dinner on 3rd September. The superb example of a traditional tea-time treat was made for The Bay Tree Food Company by Dorset–based Forest Products, and judges were abundant in their praise for the curd’s perfect balance of sharp passion fruit and smooth, rich buttery flavours.

Guild of Fine Food chairman Bob Farrand commented; “This Golden Fork Award puts The Bay Tree Food Company amongst the very top food producers in the UK and it is well deserved for an example of faultless fine food. The little pot of Passion Fruit Curd is indicative of the quality foods that are produced in the South West and, as Somerset is the home territory of The Guild of Fine Food, we are especially thrilled for Emma and the team at The Bay Tree”.
