Frances Hatch Isle Cloud Plume
Full Spectrum, a fascinating exhibition of original contemporary work by Bournemouth Arts Club members, Shows at Lighthouse Gallery in Poole from October 6 to November 3.
The exhibition has been curated by Lighthouse’s resident visual artist Hazel Evans, who has chosen the works on display, which will also be available to buy.
During the exhibition BAC will organise open workshops including Monoprinting on October 18 and Charcoal – Still Life on October 25.
Since 1920, Bournemouth Arts Club has provided a focus of excellence for the visual arts and famous names to feature in its exhibitions include Paul Nash, Graham Sutherland and Augustus John. Lucy Kemp-Welch was a member and vice president at one time. Talks by eminent speakers including Sir John Betjeman, David Hockney and Sir Hugh Casson helped to heighten awareness of an interest in visual expression.
