Battens’ chairman David Stephens, head of the Planning Department, is recommended for his individual expertise in planning law.

Published annually for more than 20 years, Legal 500 aims to provide a definitive judgement of the capabilities of law firms in more than 90 countries.

The annual listings are acted on by commercial and private clients, corporate counsel, professional advisers and other referrers of work.

“As in previous years our departments and individual practitioners have made the list through skill, experience and providing excellent value for money,” said David Stephens. “Being recognised through Legal 500 for doing a first-class professional job is another sure sign that we are delivering for clients.”
