Lee’s manic energy, uncanny observations, hilarious delivery and side-splitting material have made his live performances a must-see for comedy fans worldwide. His tours and DVD releases year-on-year continue to smash sales and box office records. From 2002 to 2011 alone he has performed to over 1,605,000 people through his four live arena shows (‘Wired & Wonderful’ – 2002, ‘XL’ – 2005, ‘Big’ 2008, ‘Roadrunner’ 2011).

In 2011 Lee embarked on a 67 arena date tour, which included a staggering six nights at both the O2 and Wembley Arenas, played to a sell-out 600,000 people across 16 arena stages throughout the UK and Ireland. First day sales saw an amazing 227,424 tickets sold and firmly established Roadrunner as the fastest and biggest day one selling UK comedy tour of all time.

The release of Roadrunner in 2011 was groundbreaking as the first ever 3D stand-up comedy DVD. His previous DVD release in 2008 ‘Big – Live At the 02’ broke all previous stand-up DVD sales records when it sold a staggering 259,399 during its first week and became the biggest week one release for a non film DVD of all time – a record it still holds today!

In September 2011 Lee’s autobiography The Life Of Lee was released becoming a number one bestseller and making the top 30 bestselling books of 2011.Lee Evans has won many accolades in the comedy world including ‘Special Contribution To Comedy’ Award at The British Comedy Awards 2011, the highly coveted ‘Perrier Award’ and the Time Out Award for Comedy. He has experienced huge success as an international film star in The Martins (2001), There’s Something About Mary (1998), The Fifth Element (1997),Mouse Hunt (1998) and Funny Bones (1995). In addition to his film work, Lee has also appeared on BBC ONE in his own sitcom series Lee Evans- So What Now? and appeared in the 2009 Doctor Who Easter special (BBC ONE), where he played an evil Welsh scientist, again to much critical acclaim.

During the past six years Lee has received rave reviews for his West-End theatre roles. These include; Samuel Beckett’s Endgame alongside the legendary Michael Gambon, Mel Brooks’ musical The Producers with Nathan Lane plus the Harold Pinter play The Dumb Waiter, with Jason Isaacs, where he received the London Theatregoers’ Choice Award.

In September of this year, Lee will return to treading the boards of the West End, starring alongside Sheila Hancock and Keeley Hawes in Clive Exton’s new play Barking In Essex at The Wyndham’s Theatre in London.

As both a solo artist and member of one of the UK’s biggest boy bands, Mark has sold more than 45.5 million records and had 29 Top 40 hits, including 11 number ones.

Now the singer songwriter will once again leave his band mates behind to perform Take That classics and songs from his new solo album The Art of Doing Nothing, which was recorded in the studio at the end of his garden, ‘The Rabbit Hutch’.

The ‘Babe’ singer joins an all-star line-up of acts for Wave 105 Live!  including Paloma Faith, Travis, Stooshe, Union J, Loveable Rogues and Tony Hadley.

The new addition to the line-up brings the total hits from this year’s Wave 105 Live acts to a staggering 59 Top 40 hits with a combined total of 62.6 million record sales.

Stooshe

Ahead of their new album to be released at the end of May girl group Stooshe is the latest act to be confirmed to play at Wave 105 Live! on Saturday May 25 at the Bournemouth International Centre.

Stooshe, who have been nominated for a Brit award for Best Single and a MOBO award for best newcomers, are one of the biggest new bands of the last 12 months.

The London-based pop trio will join the bill alongside Britpop band Travis, Paloma Faith and double act of reality show stars, Loveable Rogues and Union J, on stage for the one-day music event. The final acts will be confirmed over the next couple of weeks.

The chart-topping Glaswegian Brit-pop act, who are releasing their seventh studio album, will join Paloma Faith, Loveable Rogues and Union J on stage for the one-day music event. More top acts are to be confirmed over the next couple of weeks.

The BH Live Adventure Hub will take place indoors at the BIC with numerous activities also taking place on the beautiful, award winning beach. The fantastic Animal Bike Tour are confirmed to wow the crowds with their amazing bike stunt demos, there’s a bushcraft area, rollapaluza, power boarding lessons, kite boarding demos and a whole lot more still to be confirmed!

So here’s a few dates for the diary…

Harry Hill and his Sausage Time is kicking off the month by bringing his sold out show to the Bournemouth Pavilion on Fri 1 and Sat 2 March. The Jacksons will be taking centre stage at the BIC on Sat 2 and something for the young ones – Milkshake! Live Tour! will be coming to the Pavilion on Sun 3.

Looking back to the 70s, Boogie Nights the musical will be spinning you into a disco frenzy on Fri 6 at the Pavilion shortly before Olly Murs works his charm at the BIC on Fri 8 and Sat 9.

If opera is something that suites you, Tosca (Thurs 14) and Carmen (Fri 15) are bringing passion to the Pavilion; but if you prefer belly-laughing British comedy then Micky Flanagan is bringing his tour to the BIC from Thurs 21 – Sun 24.

Biffy Clyro is set to rock up the BIC with their sell-out show on Thurs 26 – their biggest arena tour to date. And let’s not forget, back for the 4th consecutive year, The Big Bournemouth Beer Festival. Back for the Easter weekend (Fri 29 – Sun 31) with over 200 beers available to sample!

Returning to the BIC for the fourth year running, this national cheerleading competitive event organised by Future Cheer, attracts thousands of competitors with their supporters to celebrate the very best in cheerleading talent. Competitors will also be competing with a view to being selected by world class judges who fly over especially for this event. If selected, the competitors will represent the UK in the United States All Star Federation (USASF) Worlds Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida in April 2014.

Taking place on 1-3 February 2013, the 2013 BIC Wedding Show is one of the largest events of its kind on the South Coast, bringing together hundreds of inspirational wedding and civil partnership ideas for couples who are organising, or have started to think about their big day celebrations.

Over the weekend, around 130 wedding and civil partnership experts will be exhibiting a range of services and activities to make the special day personal and memorable. There will be a full programme of bonus features too including choreographed fashion shows, performances to showcase the talents of wedding singers, musicians and the all important ‘first dance’ as well as the BH Live fitness zone with personal trainers offering advice on how to feel great in the run up to the big day.

There will be a relaxing de-stress zone with free mini treatments,  a ‘Groom’ zone providing a mobile fun casino for a ‘flutter’ and a  ‘Hair’ zone provided by Flaunt, to show couples some fabulous wedding day hair styles.

The event begins on Friday 1 February 2013 from 5pm to 8pm with singing musical and dance performances, continuing into the weekend on Saturday 2 February 2013 from 10am to 5pm and Sunday 3 February from 10am to 4pm to include daily fashion shows.
